Subdued third quarter for IPOs as UK companies place float plans on ice
The number of IPOs during the third quarter of this year fell dramatically as many businesses decided to push back preparations they had scheduled for Q3 to the final quarter of this year pending the outcome of the 2015 General Election.
This decision to put their float plans on ice meant that those businesses were unable to react quickly enough and fast-track plans when the surprise General Election result was announced, resulting in low levels of IPO activity.
