Less than one-in-six companies “fully ready” for Building Information Modelling as deadline looms
Fewer than one-in-six companies (or 16% of businesses) in the building services sector are “fully ready” to use Building Information Modelling (BIM) on projects. That’s according to new survey findings published by the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA).
With the Government’s deadline for the mandatory use of BIM Level 2 in all Whitehall-procured contracts just months away, nearly six-in-ten firms (57%) said they were not fully ready, while over one-in-four (27%) stated they were ‘not ready at all’.
