“Focus on control rather than culture beginning to limit cyber resilience” warns AXELOS
AXELOS – the UK Government/Capita joint venture – has warned that business leaders who concentrate their time and resources on technology solutions designed to manage cyber attacks rather than raising employee awareness around cyber resilience are placing themselves at potential risk of limiting their ability to prevent and/or recover from any episodes that may occur.
Nick Wilding, head of cyber resilience at AXELOS – which has just launched the second training course as part of the ITIL-aligned RESILIA Cyber Resilience Best Practice portfolio – informed The Paper that, while businesses are improving the ways in which they both detect and contain cyber attacks, more needs to be done to improve resilience and the ability to recover from an attack episode.
